COVID-19: Personal Auto Relief Credits

As a result of the financial impact that the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic is having on Personal Auto policyholders, below is list of what our carriers will be doing.  More carriers will be added as they release their programs...


  • Commerce/Mapfre-15% of APRIL and MAY premiums in the form of a premium credit to our shared personal auto policyholders

  • Concord Group-15% return of personal auto premium for the months of April and May-

  • Patriot-15% refund of Personal auto month premium for April and May

  • Providence Mutual: personal automobile policies renewing between June 15, 2020 and June 14, 2021, our policyholders will receive a premium credit on their renewal approximating 15% of two months of the expiring personal automobile policy premium.
  • Hartford15 percent refund on two months' worth of premium for all customers with an in force personal auto policy as of April 1, 2020


  • Main Street Group: Over the next 30-60 days, pending Insurance Department approvals, customers with a personal auto policy as of March 31 will receive a $50 relief payment per eligible vehicle from Main Street America. 
  • Progressive-Progressive personal auto customers who have a policy in force as of April 30th will be credited 20% of their April premiums in May and personal auto customers with a policy in force as of May 31st will be credited 20% of their May premiums in June. 

  • Safeco-Personal auto insurance customers will receive a 15% refund of two months of their annual auto premium as of April 7, 2020, pending regulatory approval

  • Safety-Any Safety Insurance personal auto policyholder that has a policy in effect as of April 1st will receive a 15% credit off their premium for the months of April and May

  • Travelers- personal auto insurance customers a 15% Credit on their April and May premiums.
